AskTQ Field Catalyst

Traveling Sales & Experiences

100% travel-basedCommission-only earningsTravel + per diem covered

You are the person who can turn a passing glance into a meaningful conversation. You bring an Ask-a-thon station to life at conferences and trade shows, help visitors experience what AskTQ can do, and build the relationships that generate sign-ups, sponsorships, and paid business.

Your field presence is part host, part demonstrator, part business developer. You listen before you pitch, connect the right offer to the right need, and stay with the opportunity after the exhibit hall closes.

Independent work. Clear economics.

Proposed 1099 independent-contractor engagement. No salary or hourly rate. Commission-only earnings, with approved travel covered separately.

You choose which event assignments to accept and remain free to serve other clients. College students and high school seniors age 18 or older are welcome. You do not need a specific degree or an existing sales career.

Field Catalyst compensation terms
Revenue or expenseOffer
Paid subscriptions30% of attributable subscription revenue collected during the first 12 months after the customer's first paid invoice.
Sponsorships20% of collected revenue on the initial sponsorship agreement you originate and close.
Custom app services10% of collected design/build revenue on the initial project you originate and close.
Cyber Day services15% of collected facilitation/service revenue. Merchandise, kits, and reimbursed expenses are excluded.
Meals and incidentals$75 per full approved travel day; $56.25 on the first and last travel days, or for a single-day trip. Approved higher-cost destinations may have a higher written allowance.
Business mileage$0.76 per approved business mile for travel on or after July 1, 2026. Parking and tolls are reimbursed separately. Rate updates will be written into future assignments.
Travel, lodging, and event costsAskTQ arranges and pays for approved travel, lodging, exhibitor registration, and station materials. Per diem is advanced before departure. A written itinerary confirms costs before you accept.

What that can mean: a $5,000 sponsorship earns $1,000; a $4,000 custom-app project earns $400. A $99 monthly VIP subscription earns $29.70 per paid month, up to $356.40 if it stays paid for all 12 months. These are examples, not earnings guarantees.

Commission is based on collected revenue after discounts, excluding taxes, refunded amounts, chargebacks, and pass-through expenses. Travel costs are never deducted from your commission. Free sign-ups, lead collection, and brand awareness alone do not earn commission. Customer payments stay on AskTQ's approved payment channels.

Record a new lead with permission and your event/source attribution before the sale. A qualifying first purchase within 90 days of lead capture is eligible. Existing opportunities, self-referrals, and duplicate attribution do not qualify; the same sale cannot earn both field and affiliate commission. Attribution questions are reviewed before payment.

Eligible commissions clear after a 30-day refund hold and are processed monthly by the 15th after clearing. There is no minimum payout threshold. Valid commissions already earned remain payable if future assignments end. Subscription commissions within the original 12-month window remain eligible under these terms. Tax and payment setup must be complete before payment can be released.

No minimum number of events, income level, employee benefits, or academic credit is promised. Independent-contractor status depends on the actual working arrangement and applicable law. Every event requires a written scope, acceptance, and travel plan before work begins.

Your mission in the field

01

Build the station people stop for

Travel to approved conferences and trade shows as an AskTQ exhibitor. Set up, operate, and pack down the branded Ask-a-thon station, including signage, devices, QR codes, printed resources, and demonstration materials.

02

Turn curiosity into a first win

Invite attendees to bring a real problem. Guide a short AskTQ demonstration, help them reach a useful result, and support account creation and first use without taking control of their private information.

03

Open doors to new business

Generate qualified opportunities for subscriptions, sponsorships, team and cohort use, Cyber Day, custom app services, and other approved AskTQ offers. Learn what each buyer needs and follow through to the next decision.

04

Own the relationship after the event

Capture leads with permission, record their source, maintain follow-up, and coordinate proposals and handoffs. Use approved pricing and terms; get authorization before committing discounts or sponsorship deliverables.

05

Make every room teach us something

Report sign-ups, qualified leads, attributable paid business, sponsorship conversations, and follow-up outcomes. Bring back objections, audience insights, and practical improvements to our field playbook.

What you gain along the way

The nonfinancial value is in the access, experience, and ownership you build. These opportunities complement the commission arrangement.

A front-row seat to the work

Represent AskTQ where founders, nonprofit leaders, technology builders, and changemakers exchange ideas. Learn through live conversations and product demonstrations.

Relationships that travel with you

Build your professional network across events and sectors. Develop the confidence to start a conversation, understand a challenge, and earn the next meeting.

Visible ownership

Help shape the station experience, field messaging, and event playbook. Your observations can influence how AskTQ reaches people and improves the product.

A portfolio of real outcomes

Build experience in experiential marketing, consultative sales, sponsorship development, event operations, and responsible AI demonstrations.

A mission worth representing

Help people doing important work discover practical support. Introduce technology with care for privacy, accessibility, and human judgment.

AskTQ provides the branded station materials, product orientation, and approved offer information needed to represent the platform.

Who will thrive here

  • You can start conversations comfortably, listen well, and explain a useful idea in plain language.
  • Experience can come from school clubs, student organizations, volunteering, hospitality, events, or sales. Show us your judgment and follow-through; a specific degree is not required.
  • You can organize travel, manage booth logistics, care for materials, and follow through without constant supervision.
  • You are at least 18, authorized to work in the United States, have a reliable car, hold a valid driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance, and can travel for accepted assignments.
  • You can commit to a role centered on travel and on-site event work, with reasonable accommodations considered.
  • You are comfortable learning new technology and demonstrating AI responsibly, without overstating its abilities or asking visitors to expose sensitive information.
  • You understand that commission-only earnings vary and that conversion takes follow-up.

Apply on your time. No interview calls.

  1. Read the role and pay terms, confirm the requirements, and answer the written scenarios.
  2. Complete an eight-question assessment covering responsible demonstrations, lead consent, sales follow-up, and travel safety. A score of at least 80% is required. You can review feedback and apply again.
  3. The system checks your stated requirements and assessment. After you confirm your email through a free AskTQ account, qualified applications enter the final-decision queue. No AI judgment of your name, school, background, writing style, or personal characteristics is used to rank you.
  4. AskTQ makes the final approval decision. Approved applicants receive an automated orientation link and complete the product, privacy, commercial-terms, and travel-safety acknowledgements themselves.
  5. Complete secure tax/payment setup and a written event agreement before the first assignment. Do not put tax numbers, driver's-license images, or insurance documents in this public application.

Applications stay open with no applicant cap. There are no phone interviews, application fees, recruitment commissions, or required purchases. A successful assessment does not guarantee approval, assignments, or income.

Requirements at application are self-reported, not identity, license, insurance, or tax verification. If something needs clarification, it is recorded as incomplete rather than an automatic rejection. Email asktq@tequionbrookins.com for accessibility support or a correction.
