Our mission
Make strong strategic support easier to reach.
AskTQ exists for people who need to make a decision, build something, fix something, or move quickly without having a strategist, grant writer, operator, researcher, and consultant sitting beside them.
Our vision
More people should have access to good thinking when the work gets complicated.
Technology should help people move with more clarity and confidence, not make them sound more robotic or give them another pile of generic advice to sort through.
Why AskTQ exists
People already carry information, experience, and ideas. AskTQ helps turn those assets into clearer decisions and usable next moves.
A lot of important work happens in the moments when there is no consultant in the room. You have a deadline in two hours. A proposal that needs another set of eyes. A board decision that is not quite ready. A program idea that makes sense but is missing the operating details. A funding opportunity you are not sure is worth the time.
That is where AskTQ is meant to be useful.
You should not have to know the perfect prompt or translate your problem into technical language first. Bring the issue the way it actually exists. AskTQ helps sort through the context, identify what matters, apply the right kind of thinking, and produce something you can use.
01 / Start with the issue
The first question is a starting point.
Someone may come in asking for a grant, a plan, a response, or a decision. AskTQ looks at what is actually getting in the way before producing an answer. Sometimes the issue is money. Sometimes it is capacity, sequencing, communication, risk, or a decision that has not been framed clearly yet.
02 / Draw from practice
The thinking comes from years of doing this work.
AskTQ is informed by more than a decade of work across nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, fundraising, grant strategy, program design, partnerships, entrepreneurship, technology, operations, community infrastructure, and resource development. It is built around the kinds of questions that come up when you are responsible for both the strategy and the execution.
03 / Use your context
A good answer depends on what is true for you.
Your mission, goals, deadlines, budget, files, prior decisions, internal language, capacity, and the people affected all matter. AskTQ uses that context to shape guidance around your actual situation.
04 / Use the right method
Different problems need different ways of thinking.
AskTQ may use human-centered design, strategic prioritization, funder readiness, outcomes thinking, moves management, operational planning, risk assessment, equity checks, or another established approach depending on the work in front of you. There is no one framework forced onto every question.
05 / Work from the source
Use the material that already exists.
AskTQ can work from your documents, budgets, notes, drafts, requirements, websites, organization context, and project files. When current outside information matters, it can bring in research and sources.
06 / Finish the work
The goal is something you can use.
AskTQ is built to help you leave with something useful: a decision, draft, plan, workflow, checklist, analysis, presentation, Fixer output, or clear next move. The point is to reduce the distance between figuring something out and actually getting it done.
One rule matters most
The best answer is the one that fits the situation you are actually in. It should respect the people involved, the capacity you have, the risks you are carrying, and what you can realistically do next.
Where the thinking comes from
Built from the way I actually work.
I built AskTQ from more than a decade of work across nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, fundraising, grant strategy, program design, partnerships, entrepreneurship, technology, operations, community infrastructure, and resource development.
My work has often put me in the middle of the question and the execution at the same time. I have had to decide whether to pursue the opportunity, write the proposal, shape the program, build the partnership, solve the operational problem, explain the recommendation, and then help carry the work after the decision was made.
AskTQ brings those habits into one place: how I break down a problem, what I look for first, the questions I ask, the frameworks I use, the things I pressure-test, and the way I turn strategy into something somebody can actually do.
It is not meant to replace professional judgment. It is meant to make more of that judgment available when someone needs help now.
How AskTQ works differently
The technology should support the judgment, not replace it.
Context matters
The same question can have a different answer depending on money, timing, people, capacity, geography, risk, and what has already happened.
Solve the right problem first
A polished deliverable is not useful if it answers the wrong question.
People are part of the decision
Efficiency matters, but so do dignity, accessibility, community accountability, and the consequences a decision creates for other people.
Make it usable
A strong response should make it easier to decide, communicate, build, submit, fix, organize, or act.
Use evidence when it matters
AskTQ should work from the source material, distinguish facts from assumptions, and use current information when the situation calls for it.
You still own the decision
AskTQ can strengthen the thinking and the work. It does not replace professional expertise, organizational authority, or your responsibility for the final call.
Who this is for
People who have to think and do.
Especially when there is not a big internal team waiting to take the next step for you.

People carrying several kinds of work at once
What guides the work
Useful is not enough if the way you get there is careless.
Clarity
Make the situation easier to understand and the next move easier to see.
Practicality
Give people something practical they can use right away.
Dignity
Treat people, communities, and the work they carry with care and respect.
Equity
Pay attention to who has power, who is affected, and who may be left out.
Access
Make strong strategic support available without requiring a large team or consulting budget.
Community
Remember that most of this work happens with and for other people.
Creativity
Leave room for ideas that do not fit the usual playbook when the context calls for them.
Sustainability
Recommend work people and organizations can realistically carry.
Know when AskTQ is not enough.
AskTQ provides educational, strategic, and practical planning support. It is not a substitute for legal, tax, medical, investment, or licensed financial advice. Some decisions still require a qualified professional, organizational approval, community input, or additional due diligence.
The goal is to help you think more clearly and do stronger work while keeping responsibility where it belongs.
